Log InAlbum Description
Two Motions Held is conceived as a tightly argued ensemble document rather than a collection of individual performances. The album is organized around balance and tension, with each gesture weighed against another, allowing motion to exist without excess. Materials are reduced, forms are compressed, and interaction is treated as the primary compositional force. The recording unfolds through controlled opposition, where density and restraint coexist within a limited but deliberate vocabulary.
This work is a conceptual ensemble recording created through human artistic direction and artificial intelligence. Artificial intelligence functions strictly as a formal analytical and generative instrument, used to examine pattern, proportion, ensemble behavior, and long form balance. All aesthetic decisions, historical framing, and structural judgment remain subordinate to human intent. The result is presented as a historically situated artistic document, emphasizing continuity with early 1960s hard bop thinking while remaining abstracted from literal performance or studio narrative.
