Red Note Records

Red Note Records is an ongoing artistic project devoted to the exploration of jazz, visual design, and imagined musical history.
Inspired by the independent jazz labels of the 1950s and early 1960s, Red Note brings together original album artwork, fictional artist biographies, historical worldbuilding, and newly created recordings into a unified creative universe. The project is rooted in a deep appreciation for the visual language, typography, photography, and cultural atmosphere of the classic jazz era, while embracing contemporary creative tools and methods.
The music presented through Red Note Records is created through human artistic direction with the assistance of artificial intelligence. Artificial intelligence serves as a creative instrument used to explore musical structure, arrangement, style, and form, but all releases are guided, curated, edited, and ultimately shaped by human judgment. Historical awareness, aesthetic intent, and artistic decision-making remain central to every project.

In addition to music, Red Note Records explores the broader culture surrounding jazz through original artwork, design studies, fictional histories, archival-inspired materials, and ongoing research into mid-century visual traditions.
New releases are added regularly, expanding an ever-growing catalog of albums, artists, stories, and visual works. Visitors are encouraged to return often as the Red Note universe continues to evolve.
Future plans include limited-edition vinyl releases, printed collections, artwork, and other special projects inspired by the label’s growing catalog.
Thank you for visiting Red Note Records and for supporting independent artistic exploration.
