Log InAlbum Description
Approved Intake is conceived as a single, continuous argument rather than a collection of pieces. The ensemble operates through proportion and repetition, allowing small shifts in density and emphasis to carry structural weight. Balance is treated as a governing discipline, with restraint used to heighten contrast rather than reduce intensity. Each sound exists in relation to the whole, never seeking dominance without consequence.
This work is a conceptual ensemble recording shaped through human artistic direction with artificial intelligence employed as a formal analytical and generative instrument. Artificial intelligence functions strictly as a tool for examining pattern, proportion, ensemble interaction, and long form balance, remaining subordinate to human judgment, historical awareness, and aesthetic intent. The result is framed as an archival document, attentive to early 1960s European jazz ideals of clarity, tension, and collective logic, presented without reference to literal performance or conventional studio practice.
