A small rural town loses track of a freight car abandoned near a forgotten rail junction. Every December a low hum builds inside it that no one can locate. Children whisper that the freight car is listening. Adults pretend nothing is wrong. But on Christmas Eve the doors shift open on their own and a soft glow spills out across the frozen ground even though no power lines connect to it.
