Keep the Shape is presented as a single, continuous proposition rather than a collection of discrete pieces. The album is constructed around compression, repetition, and controlled variation, treating ensemble interaction as a system of limits rather than display. Forms are flattened, materials are reduced, and motion is permitted only where structural pressure requires it. Balance is not decorative but regulatory, with each element held in place by the presence of the others.
This work is a conceptual ensemble recording realized through human artistic direction and artificial intelligence. Artificial intelligence functions strictly as an analytical and generative instrument, used to examine proportion, pattern, ensemble behavior, and long form balance. All aesthetic judgment, historical framing, and formal restraint remain governed by human intent. The result is an abstracted document that references no literal session or performers, but instead occupies an archival space, treating sound as a disciplined object shaped by constraint, repetition, and deliberate control.
